Our Impact
The Doxford Group strives to ensure our impact on the world is positive, by minimising our carbon footprint and playing a part in growing a flourishing estate for future generations.
Our
Initatives
In Charlton Hall, the heating and hot water derives from a totally sustainable wood-fuelled biomass boiler.
The Tempus utilises a heating and air-conditioning system which is highly energy efficient.
The Tempus kitchen is fully electric, eliminating the need to use natural gas.
We recycle all glass and cardboard across the estate.
The agricultural land surrounding the estate features within a number of stewardship and environmental schemes, which are championed through the government.
We grow wild meadow flora to allow wildlife to form habitats within the estate.
We have a zero use of any plastic straws or crockery throughout our estate.
We actively encourage our kitchen teams to utilise produce from the surrounding area – for example all of our eggs come from Ords Eggs just 10 miles away next to the village of Chatton.
We utilise refillable amenities in our bedrooms to minimise the use of single use plastics.
Charity
Collaborations
We actively invest in our local community through sponsorship of grass route sports, we choose 2 charities a year to support.
This year we are working with the brilliant
- Yellow Wellies – Farm Safety Foundation
- Great North Air Ambulance (GNAA)
