Award-winning boutique hotel The Tempus, Northumberland, has announced the appointment of Richard Parker as its new General Manager.

Bringing more than three decades of hospitality leadership experience, Richard joins The Tempus following a distinguished career managing hotels and hospitality operations across the UK. His extensive background spans branded and independent properties, with a strong track record in guest experience, team development, operational excellence and commercial performance.

As Hotel General Manager, Richard will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s operations, leading the team as The Tempus continues to build on its reputation as one of the UK’s most distinctive boutique hospitality destinations. Since opening in 2023, The Tempus has become renowned for its bold design, exceptional guest experience, acclaimed dining offering and unique accommodation set the estate. The hotel was recently recognised as VisitEngland’s Small Hotel of the Year 2026.
