Booking Terms & Conditions

Bedroom Booking Policy

Credit Card provided when making this reservation will be charged according to individual cancellation policy.

Chip & Pin Credit or Debit card must be presented on arrival for authorisation.

Guest Check-in

Check in is from 3.00pm on the day of arrival. Please note that check-in will not be permitted without a valid credit card or debit card on file.

Prior to arrival all guests will be required to provide a valid credit card or debit card for any extras/incidentals. This card will be utilised to administer a pre-authorisation charge.

Guest Check-out

All guests must have vacated rooms on day of departure prior to 10am.

The final payment for any outstanding balance, extras, incidentals or late check out will be changed on departure to the card provided on arrival or time of booking.  Should any damage occur we reserve the right to charge the customer via the card they have held on file. Personal credit limits are the responsibility of the credit card holder and we do not take responsibility for any charges incurred as a result of any breach in these limits regardless of the length of time charges are held.

Procedure for Complaints

Should you have any reason to complain or if you experience any problems with your event, you must immediately inform the Venue Manager. Any verbal notification must also be put in writing to the Venue Manager within 28 days of the end of your event giving your name and full details of your complaint. If you have any complaints concerning any services we provide, you must inform us straight away in writing and in any event within 28 days of the end of your stay. We will only deal with complaints made by the person(s) who made the booking with us. The highest level a complaint can be raised to is the Group Finance Director. For all complaints and claims which do not involve death, personal injury, or illness, we regret we cannot accept liability if you fail to notify the complaint or claim entirely in accordance with this clause. 

Policy for Dogs

Your furry, four legged friends are most welcome at The Tempus. Please ensure they are always kept on a lead in fields with livestock. We ask that all foul is cleared up and disposed of correctly in the bins provided on site. If dogs are residing in a bedroom, we ask that dogs do not sit or climb on furniture and if in a cottage they do not go upstairs. If the dogs are left unattended, please ensure they are crated or left in the Kitchen with the door closed so no access is available to the other areas of the cottage when unattended. We have a selection of dog friendly rooms and cottages. If there is excessive hair or damage due to your canine friends, we will make a suitable charge for additional cleaning or repairs. Dogs are allowed in the bar and orangery area until 7.00pm. We have a standard dog charge of £30 per dog per stay.

Electric Car Charging Points

We have seven charging points (7kw) on the estate. We do ask that if you plan to charge your car on the estate that you bring your own lead to use please.

Just a heads up!

The Tempus Hotel & Orangery Restaurant will be closed for a short winter break from Monday 5th January – Thursday 15th January.  

We’ll be back and welcoming guests again for lunch on Thursday 15th January.
